Annata is produced from Sangiovese vines between 10 and 25 years old and is aged for 36 months in Slavic oak barrels. The basic feature of Greppo Biondi Santi's Brunello is its longevity. The Annata type varies between 20 and 40 years and to allow the flavor to fully unfold, the bottle must be opened and some wine decanted, at least 8 hours before drinking, at 18 ° C.
It consists of healthy grapes, with thick skins and rich in colors. Intense orange medium tone, it is extremely refined on the nose mixing plum, cherry, havana and mild spices. The tannins are well sedimented and silky on the palate and are lifted by a full and ethereal wave, but remarkably fresh. Elegant and delicate.
